B.Tech CSE
Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 1999 with an intake of 30 students under the course of B.Tech in CSE. Subsequently, the department started with a new program of B.Tech in IT. The current intake in B.Tech (CSE) is 180 and in B.Tech (IT) is 90. In addition to graduate courses. The department, right from its inception, has the privilege of getting ample funds for setting up the laboratories and other infrastructure. There has been a rapid growth in the infrastructure of the department since 1999 and there has been no looking back. Today, the department can boast of one of the best computing facilities in the region.The department has produced quality computer professionals and feels proud of its alumni employed in public, private and educational sectors, bringing good name to their alma mater. The whole team of the Department works with a sense of responsibility and dedication to excel and achieve success in this era of Technology. The department offers a comprehensive curriculum from introductory level courses to seminars and projects focusing on critical research areas. Apart from imparting conventional technical education and rich learning environment, emphasis is laid on co-curricular activities such as workshops, debates and quizzes to prepare students for highly competitive job market. The objective is to provide knowledge of modern computing systems as well as sound theoretical background to meet evolving needs of students and instill ethical values in them. The department also aims at establishing strong relationship with the industry so as to bridge the gap between the academia and corporate sector. The department aims at cultivating qualities like leadership, teamwork, self confidence, good communication skills among its students.
B.tech Civil
Building the Foundation for Futuristic Infrastructure…Civil engineering is a broad field containing many engineering sub-fields, such as structure designing, transportation engineering, environmental engineering, geo-technical engineering, and construction engineering. Civil engineers design and supervise the construction of buildings, highways, railways, airports, tunnels, dams, bridges, as well as fluid transport systems.The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the year 2011 with an intake of 60 students. The annual intake of this course has been increased to 120 for the batches starting from 2012. The objective of the department is to impart high quality education to the undergraduates, enabling them to succeed in positions in civil engineering profession. .
B.tech ECE
Electronics & Communication Engineering Department was established in 1999 i.e. from the date of inception of the college, with an intake of 30 students. Within four years, the intake to this discipline grew to 60. Due to the excellent infrastructure, 30 more seats were sanctioned by AICTE in 2000 to increase the intake to 90. Now the present intake of the Department is 120. The Department has well-established laboratories and is continuously growing. A number of Short Training programs, seminars and conferences have been conducted in the past. Department obtained ISO 9001-2000 certification in the year 2000. The department has been continuously growing since its establishment. At present the department has got infrastructure and facilities unmatched by any Engineering College under P.T.U.
B.tech EEE
B.tech Mechanical Engineering
The Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 1993, right at the inception of the college. The department is accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and the Institution of Engineers, India. Apart from conducting under-graduate programme B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering and B.Tech. Industrial Engineering, the Department is running full time post graduate courses M.Tech. CAD/CAM and M.Tech. Mechatronics & Robotics approved by AICTE. A Regional Centre of PTU has been established for imparting part-time M.Tech. in Machine Design. A number of Short Term Courses, Seminars, and Conferences are conducted by the Department on regular basis. Students chapter of ISTE, IEI, SAE and ISHRAE are well established. In addition to study of prescribed curriculum, students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular, social, religious and environmental activities. Apart from imparting conventional technical education, emphasis is laid on extra curricular activities such as seminars/ workshops/ debates/ conferences to prepare student for highly competitive job environment. Professionals from industry are invited to deliver expert lectures & Industry Institute meets are regularly arranged. The Department maintains detailed lecture delivery plan, course files for all subjects and the same are being continually updated. The Department has established well-equipped laboratories and has prepared Students Work-Manuals for laboratory work. Various Audio-Visual aids are being used to make teaching learning process more effective. For providing consultancy and testing services to industry, the departmental workshops and laboratories are fully equipped with latest and sophisticated equipment and machinery. At the undergraduate level the intake for Mechanical Engineering course is 180 students and for Industrial Engineering it is 60 students.
